Louis Michel, eurodéputé belge et père de l’actuel Premier ministre belge, avait accordé il y a quelques jours une interview à l’hebdomadaire « Le Vif » qui ne manque pas de choquer les habitants du royaume voisin.
Evoquant l’idée émise par certains politiciens de limiter le salaire des parlementaires belges à 4.800 euros nets par mois, Louis Michel a l’incroyable culot de déclarer :
« Vous obtiendrez un Parlement coupé de la réalité, peuplé de fonctionnaires et d’enseignants mais déserté par le monde de l’entreprise et les avocats. […] Quel entrepreneur acceptera de sacrifier ses week-ends, ses soirées, ses vacances, pour gagner 4 800 euros net/mois ? »
En vérité, c’est Louis Michel qui est coupé de la réalité : quatre travailleurs belges sur dix subsistent avec… 1 250 euros par mois, soit près de quatre fois moins que les émoluments « de misère » dont devraient se contenter les parlementaires belges qui gagnent plus que cela à l’heure actuelle.
