A l’occasion du 400ème anniversaire de la dynastie des Romanov, le Centre russe d’étude de l’opinion publique (VTsIOM) a dévoilé les surprenants résultats d’un sondage[1] portant sur un éventuel rétablissement de la monarchie. En effet, 28 % des Russes seraient favorables au retour d’une monarchie pour leur pays.
« Près de 28% des personnes interrogées soit se prononcent pour la monarchie, soit ne sont pas opposées au rétablissement du régime monarchique. Toutefois, les interrogés ne sont pas des partisans actifs de cette idée, estimant qu’actuellement la Russie ne possède pas de personne capable d’assumer les responsabilités d’un monarque. » a expliqué le directeur du VTsIOM lors d’une conférence de presse.
13 % des personnes sondées jugent que, en cas d’établissement d’une monarchie, le monarque devrait être un homme élu par référendum tandis que 6 % trouvent que seul un descendant des Romanov est digne de monter sur le trône.
[1] Sondage effectué auprès de 1.600 personnes vivant dans 138 localités de 46 régions de Russie avec marge d’erreur statistique inférieure à 3,4 %.
