Le mardi 2 février 2021, au séminaire Saint-Curé-d’Ars, MGR ALFONSO DE GALARRETA, évêque auxiliaire de la Fraternité Sacerdotale Saint-Pie X, a remis l’habit ecclésiastique à 20 séminaristes de 1ère année : 14 Français, 2 Suisses, 1 Belge, 1 Espagnol, 1 Anglais et 1 Brésilien.
Le célébrant était assisté des abbés GUILLAUME GAUD, directeur du séminaire (prêtre assistant), ALAIN-MARC NÉLY et FOUCAULD LE ROUX (diacres assistants), LOUIS HANAPPIER (diacre) et CYPRIEN DU CREST (sous-diacre).
M. l’abbé BENOÎT DE JORNA, Supérieur du District de France, ainsi que M. l’abbé PATRICK DUVERGER, Supérieur du District du Bénélux, étaient présents à la cérémonie.
C’est en grande partie un fruit des écoles de la Tradition puisque les écoles de Marlieux, Bitche, Saint-Bernard, Saint-Joseph-des-Carmes, Etcharry, Saint-Michel et Sainte-Marie ont vu au moins un de leurs anciens prendre la sainte livrée.
Dans son sermon, le célébrant a rappelé ce que représentait la tenue cléricale : un appel au sacrifice et au renoncement. Renoncement imposé par la Providence et les évènements actuels, mais nous savons avec saint Paul que « tout concourt au bien de ceux qui aiment Dieu[1] », et avec saint Augustin que « si l’épreuve vous trouve comme de la paille, elle vous réduit en cendres ; si elle vous trouve comme de l’or, elle vous purifie ».
