Nigeria – Dimanche dernier, les islamistes de Boko Haram ont attaqué Gumsuri, village de l’état de Borno, et pris en otages au moins 185 femmes et enfants.

Les otages seraient détenus dans la forêt de Sambisa, repère de Boko Haram.

Quant au village de Gumsuri, les islamistes y ont laissé les cadavres de leurs nouvelles victimes et des maisons en ruines, ayant mis le feu à de nombreuses habitations.

Si l’information a tardé à être connue, c’est tout simplement parce que les rescapés en fuite à travers la brousse ont mis quatre jours à errer jusqu’à la ville de Maiduguri.

Le village de Gumsuri se situe non loin de Chibok, où 200 écolières avaient déjà été enlevées en avril.

Ces dernières semaines, Boko Haram avait déjà revendiqué des attentats à Maiduguri et Kano, qui ont fait plus de 200 morts. Le 1er décembre, les islamistes avaient également mené une attaque dans l’État de Yobé, tuant plus de 150 personnes.
