Elle est annoncée avec emphase depuis des mois, elle est attendue avec impatience par la communauté juive de Rome et d’ailleurs : la visite le 17 janvier du pape François au Temple majeur de Rome, en un mot la grande synagogue.
Sur les pas de ces prédécesseurs conciliaires, dans la ligne du décret de Vatican II Nostra Aetate (Notre époque), qui signe l’abandon de la proclamation de la doctrine catholique pour inaugurer un temps nouveau de dialogue avec les juifs et les autres religions, le Vicaire du seul et unique Messie Rédempteur se soumet toujours un peu plus au peuple de l’ancienne Alliance.
Jean-Paul II fut le premier pape à mettre les pieds à la Synagogue le 13 avril 1986, Benoît XVI l’imita le 17 janvier 2010, François perpétue cette nouvelle tradition post-Vatican II. Comme quoi, l’Église conciliaire tient à ses innovations et en fait des traditions !
Un tel geste était chose impensable pour les papes d’avant ce funeste concile du XXe siècle : ils étaient humbles de leur personne mais fiers des droits du Christ. Aujourd’hui, nos papes conciliaires sont honteux des prérogatives du Dieu fait chair mais orgueilleux de leur pensée mortelle.
