130 personnes ont été tuées dans un raid islamiste sur une école à Peshawar, dans le nord ouest du Pakistan. La majorité des victimes sont des étudiants de cette école gérée par le personnel militaire. Le raid a été revendiqué par les talibans. Quatre assaillants ont été tués. L’armée est à la recherche des autres terroristes.
Des dizaines d’enfants ont également été blessées.
Selon l’agent de police Mudassar Abbas sept islamistes armés ont fait irruption dans l’école publique de l’Armée et ont ouvert le feu sur les enfants et les enseignants. L’armée est arrivée rapidement sur place.
Des reporters présents sur place mentionnent au moins dix explosions survenues dans l’école.
L’organisation des talibans pakistanais (TTP Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan) a revendiqué l’attaque en représailles à une offensive militaire dans la région tribale du nord-ouest.
